Hi PR AND TECH!!
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love the October PR video! I think the officer/commission intros were really nice and flowed smoothly, and I am just SOOO beyond delighted that Shyon and I made the thumbnail👍I do think that the hoco dance promo was a little too long, so students may not watch the entire video or get tired of it really fast. In addition, opportunity was spelled incorrectly in the caption of clink’s club spotlight promo; it was spelled “opprotunity.” Other than that, everything else looks really good, so good job PR and tech!!

hey pr + tech!
ReplyDeleteohmygoodness the october pr video was SO good! commission intros were soso cool and the overall video length was really ideal (considering that it'll have to be under 5 moving forward). in the future, make sure to remember to plug the asb site and instagram since that's where a lot of students get info! but overall a nice video with bomb music :D

Hey tech and pr,
ReplyDeleteGreat job on this PR video! The editing was on point. Make sure to to budget your time when editing these so you don't have a ton of work at the last minute. If you get a little bit done each day, filming close to the draft due date and editing those segments in shouldn't be a problem. Otherwise, this is definitely setting a really high standard for future videos, good work!

Hey PR and Tech!
ReplyDeleteGreat job with the October PR video! The editing was awesome and I loved showing all of my friends the commission intros. It was a really nice video, so I think the main issue is just making sure that scheduling for filming goes smoothly and for there to be more buffer time to get editing done. Good job Tech! Good job PR!

Hey Tech and PR,
ReplyDeleteSuper cool PR video -- fun and informational :) The editing and transitions were really nice and the idea of a table of contents at the beginning was very clever and helped organize the video better. To make sure that you get time for editing and filming, I'd recommend giving groups a certain time frame to film in (ex: 15 min to film), and after that, it is what it is. That way, your time is valued and you ensure that groups are ready to film. Other than that, great PR video, and I look forward to future ones!!

Hey Tech and PR, really good job on the October PR video, I loved the energy and it was very helpful as well. The commission intros were fun and everything flowed together nicely. I think one main thing that could be improved on is not necessarily with the video itself, but clarity with filming times. I understand that there's a lot going on all the time and its hard to know but we ended up thinking we were going to film multiple days that we weren't and it was just pretty confusing, but I think with better communication on both sides the issue can be resolved fairly easily. Another important thing to consider is the fact that now there's only 5 minutes for PR videos, which means lots of the cool transitions will have to be cut down in the future ones (honestly really sad about that ngl) and skits/info will have to become more brief. I think the October PR video was great overall, so great job pr and tech!

Hey Tech and PR!
ReplyDeleteGreat job with the October PR Video, it was super good. My favorite part was the commission intros. They were super fun and felt sitcom-y. I mentioned this during class, but you guys really need to annoy everyone about filming times and making sure they are 200% prepared for filming. PR Videos get pumped out super fast and in order to give yourself enough time to edit, you need to get filming done quickly and more efficiently. Last year, I would sometimes have to quadruple text to get a response. You just have to do whatever u have to do to get the work done. Anyways, I'm super excited to see the next PR video in class!

hey tech and pr!!
ReplyDeletei LOVED watched the oct pr vid, and the intro literally gave me chills. the music and text entries were so on point, and it felt so professional. the committee intros were really funny, but (I understand that timing is an issue) it went by very quickly, so maybe slowing it down a little bit could have been better. i liked how the hoco dance information was just on the screen, because all the attention was on the words (again, it looked very cool), but maybe having something a little more would make it more interesting to watch. i agree with what everyone said about giving you guys more time to edit the video, because i was very surprised that you still took our filming request even though it was a few days before the airing. maybe starting filming earlier will give you more time to easily create the video. overall, i think this was one of my favorite pr videos, and it was such a blast to watch it.

HELLO PR + TECH!
ReplyDeleteI don't really have much to say because it was a really great video. The editing is amazing as always and everything was really engaging. The only thing I really have to say is to improve filming times/start earlier so the editing process is not as rushed. Great job y'all!
Stephanie
Hiya PR + Tech!!
ReplyDeleteGreat job on the October PR video! The editing and music for the commission intros was amazing, and I though it was organized very well. My one comment is that the Homecoming dance introduction was a a little lengthy, so maybe for future videos you can shorten the nonessential parts by a little bit. I also agree with what everyone is saying that you should maybe give some more buffer time for filming, but overall phenomenal job!
- Alex
hihi pr and tech!!
ReplyDeletei loved the variety of events/info presented and especially commission intros! im glad you guys were able to get an amazing video out despite the troubles that came your way. i like the length of each scene as it didnt get tiring to watch. being on time for filming is always hard but i think you guys did a good job working around that. i know the time limit has to be under 5 minutes in the future so a suggestion would be to ration time for each segment of the video. i think someone already mentioned this in class but i do think it would be helpful to plan out how much time each commission gets for filming according to the importance of their event thats being promoted. also im glad you guys are able to keep having pr videos!!
-aarya <3
Hi PR/tech!
ReplyDeleteGreat job on the PR vid! I thought the commission intros were very well edited and the song choice was great! I think looking back on the video and especially the Homecoming Dance part, in the future we should save the little skits as separate promo videos on the instagram as we only have 5 minutes from now on. However, I'm stoked that we will be allowed to play them once again for the whole school to see!
-Jeff
hello pr / tech
ReplyDeletesupa supa great video! it was really fun to watch, and the editing was sensational. i only have two things: 1) i would add time stamps at the "table of contents" in the beginning of the video, in case students are looking for information on a specific event 2) when promoting events like the hoco dance, the information presented was super clear but past footage could have been displayed as well, just so students know what the event looks like

Hey PR and Tech
ReplyDeleteGreat job on the October PR video! There was some incredible editing (luh u peter) and I especially like the ASB intro part. I thought it was really cute and well edited. I also like the table of contents type thing at the start of the video. I think something that could be helpful is if you added time stamps on the youtube video to make it easier for people to click into what they want to find information about. There's also some extra space at the end of the video that I think could have been used to plug asb socials. Overall I really enjoyed this years October PR video and am excited for the next one.
Hey PR+Tech!
ReplyDeleteAmazing job on the October PR Video! I really loved the intro and I think the editing and aesthetic of it was executed really well! I think maybe for the future since we only have 5 minute slots, maybe you guys can open up sign ups for all of the videos at the same time so that people can fill in for any scheduled events that they have and other people can plan ahead if they cannot get a slot. Overall, amazing job!
- Kimaya
hey tech!
ReplyDeletegreat video as always. to be honest, everything i had to say i said during class when we watched the first draft of the video so to add on to that i'll just echo everyone else's good ideas: in the future, timestamps in the intro card, and more streamlined filming signups would make it even better.
this video was extremely entertaining to watch, and thank u to tech for being so accommodating for the 1000 takes we had to do for the hoco dance promo!
kyrsten
Hey PR and Tech!
ReplyDeleteSuch an amazing job on the PR video. I loved the short intros for each commission and the overall vibe/editing. It was also good to see that the video was cut down to around 5 minutes, so people will focus on all the info. To make sure that you guys get enough time to edit, maybe schedule the filming really early on, so that you give yourselves at least a couple of weeks to put the video together. Overall, such a great job and I'm definitely looking forward to more PR vids :))
- Nina
Hi!!
ReplyDeleteI really liked the pr video, and I think that it should be a model for future videos given the new time constraints. The introduction was fire, and I was happy to be on the thumbnail with Chloe. The one thing is just making sure to space out the editing process in order to avoid typos. Great video!
- Shyon
Hey PR+Tech!
ReplyDeleteAmazing job on the October PR video. October is an especially difficult month to film because everyone’s so busy and tired preparing for homecoming, so props to you all for putting this together. Something that might be fun to include for future October videos is a little hoco heads segment, where each head can say a little line to hype up homecoming. It would be a lot to coordinate, but I think it’d be nice for heads to have that bit of publicity and recognition.
Sincerely,
Emma Tu
hi pr x tech!
ReplyDeleteamazing job on the october pr video!! all the intros were adorable and the video itself was really clean. in terms of filming for our intro, we were accommodated on our scheduled time and filming got done quite efficiently. I didn't hear many other complaints or issues from students or from my COs, so great job guys!
<3anika
hi pr + tech!!
ReplyDeletegreat job on the october pr video!! i think smth we can work on is overplanning every detail of the pr video. this means every line, transition, and prop! i also think we can be much stricter abt deadlines. the pr video is a great promotional method but it isnt the only one. if groups arent submitting items on time or pushing back filming, i think pr + tech can make the decision to cut the group and maybe prioritize them for the next video.
great job again!

hey tech+pr!
ReplyDeletegood job on the October pr video! The intro and the editing was really nice. For filming, it was really hard for 2025 to find the right time and we had to change it a couple times. its our responsibility as the people requesting to be in the pr video to be punctual and respect pr/tech's time so next time be clear with everyone that if u miss your filming thats it so you have more time to edit.
-Hao
Heyo!
ReplyDeleteGreat job on October. PR video. I think the beginning was great and i loved the little table in thr front showing what is going to be talked about. I think filming could have been stricter. If it's stricter then it would be easier to film/edit and you wont have any issues with timeline.
-Seren
Hello Tech!
ReplyDeleteI loved the PR video (just rewatched it), and I really like the concept and theme for the PR video. For filming, it would help to set a few things up for next semester like a signup sheet for the entire year, and make commissions have meeting to discuss filming. You also want people to tighten policies in relation to scripts/blocking. What I mean by this would be in relation to people's practicing of the script and timing of the script. This will make it easier for you guys to fit more things in each PR video. You could also do what we have been doing this year, and making it so that larger event just have a mention in the video have have the actual video be its own separate project. In light of this suggestion and the one before, you should set out which events within a year are going to be in the PR video and which are going to be their own separate events. This can be settled in things like an Annual PR planning meeting that you could have at the beginning of the year. Make it so that the events/plans aren't static and rather are set in place to create a general guideline for efficiently and timekeeping.
