Hoco Rec Party

HI ASB!!! Rec just finished Hoco Rec Party after school on 10/28 and would love to hear your feedback: An overview of the event is that all HOCO heads, C/O's, tech, class advisors, and any individual participants CP's believed to make homecoming a success for their class were invited to join us after school in the cafeteria. They were provided free food/snacks/drinks while the homecoming videos from each class were playing. The food we got were 10 boxes of Costco pizza (7 cheese + 3 pepperoni), a variety of 80-90 individually packaged chips, 80-90 cans of various soda, and various flavors of cookies. We did have some leftover food but it was not an insane amount. There was more soda leftover than anything else and some people were able to get seconds on pizza.  Discussion Points: - Are there any other types of food you would like to see at future hoco rec parties? (aside from the usual pizza, cookie, and chips) - A few people who were not invited to the party tagged along wit...

Homecoming Court

Heyo ASB 😚 Homecoming court happened at the end of halftime, where court members were pedicabbed to risers and sashed + crowned. Here’s a recap: Court members are nominated and voted for: 2 freshmen, 2 sophomores, 2 juniors, 8 seniors Seniors with the most votes are crowned royalty A barcode of the pdf brochure was printed/taped around the bleachers + at the clink freebies table On the last page of the brochure were Hoco Court Messages, a form for people to write cute messages to court members Discussion points: Should the brochures be online from now on? Past paper brochures wasted a lot of paper if compared to how many people actually read the brochure Nominations + voting There were joke nominations and votes and not enough people were voted We should have allowed each person to nominate/vote up to 3 people- thoughts? Dress code Tuxes were sponsored and free but dresses had to be individually purchased- would opening up the dress code be better? Tiaras + sashes were gifted Musi...

Homecoming Dance

Hey-SB! HOCO WEEK IS OVER πŸ€•πŸ€• and we would like to thank everyone for volunteering at the Hoco Dance on 10/22! We would also like to shout out Ms. Kirsh, Mrs. Salazar, Mr. C Wong, and all of the awesome staff who helped make this event possible! As usual with any social event, we would love to hear your feedback on how it went!  Drop some knowledge on any of the following😎 PROMOTION/TICKET SALES We ended up selling around 680 tickets, had a guest list of 700+ including volunteers Sold ~60 on day 1, 100 on day 2, 380 on day 3, 120 on day 4 Had to extend until day 4 because we couldn’t get through the day 3 line A total of ~650 people ended up showing up to the dance Thoughts on promotion? Were your friends aware of ticket sales happening prior to the last day? What can we do in the future to evenly spread out ticket sales and not have an overflow of ticket sales on one single day? FOOD:  We served brownies, ice cream, chips, fruits, and drinks What were your thoughts on the f...

Hoco Freebies & Homecoming Art Exhibit

Hiya ASB! We just finished hoco freebies and hoco art exhibit and we would love to hear what you all have to say about it!!  As a quick review: - gave away free lanyards, football stress balls, glowsticks, and stickers before the hoco game - Set up and displayed class decs during the homecoming dance Discussion points/Things that could be improved: - a lot of the decs requested for Hoco art exhibit were either missing or damaged beyond repair  - ran out of football stress balls and lanyards much faster than stickers  - stickers were damaged en route and were delayed  - wind constantly knocked down decs and bricks did not work effectively  - instructions on how decs should be displayed were not very clear - how can we distribute freebies more effectively (should we directly hand them out or have people come to us)?  - was the table placement effective (between bathroom and football field entrance)?  - should the flashing LED lights underneath the hoco d...

Homecoming Pep Rally

HELLO!! first of all, super great job this past week! homecoming is an actual grind but we all pulled through πŸ’ͺ we wrapped up the week with the hoco pep rally during lunch, and we'd love to hear your feedback: some discussion points: how could we have better communicated with students that this wasn't a "normal rally", but more of a callout for the Football/Cheer team? during the actual rally, how could we have better engaged with students and/or the teams being presented did any part of the rally feel too fast or slow? (keep it mind we wanted a good chunk of lunch for people to take photos with the senior backdrop/decs) during the rally, several of our mics were cutting in and out. next time, how should we handle this and adapt to the situation? thanks for your feedback!! -spirit 🐐
